Reflect on the Design Thinking Process.

Positive

  1. It's a great way to solve a problem.
  2. It it a great way to solve your problems.
  3. This process helps us stay organized and not miss anything or look over any aspect of our project that we would have otherwise missed.
  4. I think it is a great process because it provides an accurate and detailed final product.
  5. The design process is an organized affeciant way to manage time, brainstorm ideas, and create products.
  6. I think the process is fine and helps kids be organized so they can put their project together.
  7. It was an interesting and new way to approach a problem never faced before. This process can be used outside of class which is very important.
  8. The Design Thinking Process was definitely a project that made me think and I believe this project will turn out to be a great one for next year and the years after. Empathizing and Ideating were most certainly the hardest parts of the process due to the fact that it made the user and interviewer think about how to meet a person's needs correctly, while still having a product that made sense. The Define, Prototype, and Test stages were the most interesting stages because of the fact that we could use the knowledge we'd gained with the other stages to better think of a problem, establish it, and make and test the things we'd made to fit the user's needs.
  9. The design thinking process was an interesting experience.I would say the hardest stage is the define stage ebcause you have to begin thinking of problems and it is hard to get started.
  10. The Design Thinking Process definitely showed me a different way to approach certain problems in a way that I hadn't thought of, since it broke the problem into different parts to make it easier to find a solution or an idea.
  11. I thought the the design thinking process was a good thing that we are doing now. It is a better way of just saying brainstorm make your ideas and have a finished product by a certain date. The design thinking process helps us stay organized and on task to have a final product by the due date.
  12. I think that the design thinking process was a good idea because it allowed you to be able to interview a user and build something to their needs.
  13. This process was very helpful because it allowed us to go step by step which kept us organized and on track.

Neutral/Misc

Negative

  1. I did not like the Design Thinking Process. I feel that it was effective for the time being but I dont see myself ever applying it to the real world now or in the future.
  2. it was bad and i did not do a good jon

How has the structure of this project affected your understanding and appreciation of history?

Positive

  1. It has made history more fun to learn about.
  2. It made history a lot more fun to learn.
  3. I appreciate and understand history much more now because I always wanted to know what sports were like in my comunity and n0w i know.
  4. This project put history into a deeper perspective for me. Before this project, history was like a 1-dimension subject, but after digging deeper into how history has affected how life is lived today, I now realize that history has many sides to it still waiting to be discovered.
  5. It has intorduced to me a new way to work in history class that is very effective has helped me to take a new approach to history.
  6. It has helped me discover a different skill to use when coming up to a solution to a task that I'm given and has offered a new way to think about the topic.

Neutral/Misc

  1. I learned that history is not all about memorizing dates and things of that nature.
  2. It made me understand that we weren't always the way we are now and the schools have changed overtime and are still changing.
  3. I have learned how to incorporate the past with the future through this project.
  4. It brought me closer to my community and how it has changed over the years.
  5. It gives me the sence of the history of Mt. Lebanon, and helped me learn to research history of a place, and that helped me in learning how to research better.
  6. The structure of this project has affected my understanding of history because now i understnad how hard it was for the people of the past to make our lives easier today.
  7. Because now I understand how hard it was for the people that passed to make new inventions for the future.
  8. it explained the history of Mt. Lebanon
  9. By completing the assignment, I have realized that the schools and peoples opinions of the schools have changed over the years.

Negative

How would you improve upon the process of the project?

Digital Tools/Technology
  1. Make sure students know they can do anything for the project. Not just the listed ones.
  2. I would inprove it by first figuring out what all the technology option were, and first learn how to use them instead of just choosing something unknown.
  3. I would add something artistic to one of the ways we can do this project.
  4. Maybe students could creat drawings on the computer to help the audiance learn about their chosen topic.
  5. I would add more tool ideas to the list of tool options.

Design Thinking/Confusion
  1. Make sure students understand the project. I understood it, but a lot of other students didn't understand the project.
  2. I would try to make it a little bit easier to understand because at times I was confused on how to apply our project to the design thinking process.
  3. I would make sure that you explained it more because it was confusing at times.
  4. It would be more organized and have rubrics that Mr. Holliday creates so that we can build our project off of that. It would be easier to know what we have to do before we start working on the project.
  5. It would be better if Mr. Holliday created our rubrics so we could build our project around that. I'm someone whp likes guidlines and needs a pre-made rubric in order to create quality work.

Content/Information
  1. One step that could be taken to improve the process would be possbily giving an option to compare and contrast what has been going on in Mt. Lebanon today in this decade compared to how it was in the past. Using that knowledge, the group of students could concur about how the history of Mt. Lebanon led to the streets, schools, and the many other aspects we know so well today.
  2. I would make the project be less "informationly strict" because it is difficult to gather information of that kind at this age.
  3. I would improve the process of the project by making it a little more broad on the topic choice.

Time
  1. If we had more time to complete it.

Self Assessment
  1. I would work harder on the empathize phase.
